Summer Internship: Resilience Innovation Internship 2022
In Summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to participate in National Resilience, Inc.'s inaugural Innovation Internship Program. During my time with the program, I worked in Quality Systems and Compliance at the RTP site and had the opportunity to gain experience working in a cGMP facility.
Experiences Gained
I gained experience working with audit readiness efforts and quality systems management at a cGMP facility and navigating GDP practices in quality systems and training. I also learned how to navigate the GxP-compliant quality systems software Veeva, gained exposure with client-facing interactions by helping to draft quality agreements, and gained valuable skills working on cross-functional teams to organize projects that could be used throughout the site.
During my internship, I also had the opportunity to practice soft skills. I was able to work on cross-functional teams and gained a deeper understanding of how different functions' needs are met and further sharpened my ability to work on a team. Additionally, I was able to practice critical and creative thinking skills during the Innovation Internship and collaborated with other interns on problem-solving challenges.
